I've noticed that for photography events they tend to fall on the following days : Thursday, Saturday and Tuesday with a sprinkling of Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. This Saturday is gonna be big for the fact that the Miracle Mile Art Walk is going on with conjunction of gallery openings later that night in the Miracle Mile area but you can find info on that over here.
On to today !
+ Virginia Heckert, associate curator of Photographs, the J. Paul Getty Museum, leads a gallery talk on the exhibition In Focus: Tasteful Pictures. Meet under the stairs in the Museum Entrance Hall at 2:30 today.
+ Over in Century City, Annenberg Space for Photography presents IRIS Nights. Tonight's guest is photographer Kate Orne on the Victims of Pakistan’s Sex Trade. The event is already fully booked but there is stand-by. Starts at 6:30 pm.
(Brad Moore)
+ Over in Miracle Mile is the opening reception to Geof Kern and Brad Moore at Fahey/Klein . BTW : love their new site redesign. Much easier to navigate now. This goes on from 7-9 pm.
+ Over near WeHo, Lomography Gallery LA is doing a workshop on soft focus tonight from 7-9 pm. Free
So did anyone get photos of the elephants in downtown LA yesterday early morning ? Just curious :)
