Assouline opens at South Coast Plaza

Assouline, the publisher of books covering art, design, fashion, architecture, travel and lifestyle and more has open their first store here in California at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa. Yes, I do know I announced back in end of 2009 that Assouline had opened a Los Angeles location but that was situated inside of Bastide restaurant. StyleSection LA had this to say about the space :
Prosper Assouline, the fabulously named founder of the 15-year-old company, personally designed the Art Deco-inspired space, modeled after his own library. Ecru lacquered shelving, red walls and objets d’art from Prosper and Martine Assouline’s global travels pepper the boutique, and the back of the store features framed limited edition prints (large-scale iconic Slim Aarons photographs, images of Baccarat clad Vintage Cocktails, etc.) — comprising the first Assouline “gallery.”

You can find Assouline located at the former Giuseppe Zanotti space, in the Nordstrom wing on level 1

By the way, the above photo was done by David Drebin. below is the uncropped version
