+ Tomorrow night over at LACMA is "Crenshaw high school night @ lacma" from 5-8 pm.
Join us for a fun evening with our friends from Crenshaw High School, the site of repeat visits by Catherine Opie and included in the current photography exhibition, Catherine Opie: Figure and Landscape. Come watch the nationally recognized Crenshaw High School Marching Band as they perform on the museum campus. Catherine Opie will lead an informal walk through of the exhibition for students and patrons of all ages at 6:30 p.m.
+ Down in San Clemente this Saturday is Thorvaldur Orn Kristmundsson's "Nature is Brand". Icelandic photojournalist's opening reception will be the first for Kona Gallery's new expanded space. Guest performance by Icelandic group "The Charlie".
+ The Sofitel hotel in Los Angeles (right across from BevCenter) is the final stop of the "Fashion Stills" photography tour (previous stops : DC, NY and Chicago) featuring the works of four photographers – Derek Hudson, Francoise Huguier, Jean-Marie Périer and Gérar Uféras. The images are currently up will be up until Oct 31, 2010. More info here.
