As you know it is the Month of Photography here in Los Angeles and this month's Downtown Art Walk definitely reflects more photography. Here's a quick rundown on what's out there.

+ “In LA mecCA: Los Angeles as the Promised Land" 7-11 pm @ Terrell Moore Gallery 1221 S Hope Street Los Angeles, CA 90015. Five well-known Los Angeles photographers (Douglas McCulloh, Mark Indig, Larry Brownstein, Ken Haber, and Aline Smithson) traverse the geographic and cultural boundaries that bisect Southern California, producing a poignant look at the lives of its inhabitants, the dreams they seek, and the realities they find. Better hurry as this Friday there'll be a new exhibition "Downtown: Incomplete LA".

+ Edition One Hundred Pop-up exhibition 6-11 pm @ Edgar Varela Fine Arts 727 S. Sprint St. Los Angeles, CA 90015

+ Pej Behdarvand “Dreaming Caifornia" opening is actually this Saturday but y'all can get a sneak peak during the Art Walk. Behdarvan’s series uses an obsolete film technique known as Day-for-Night to “capture a different perspective on the ‘sunny California’ landscape.” drkrm/gallery 727 S.
