The LA Freelancer Meetup group will be hosting a free event called "Tax tips for Freelancers and Small Business" on Feb 8th over in Miracle Mile at Blankspaces (they're right next to that beauty supply shop, their entrance is on Cloverdale. I know their address says Wilshire, but the entrance is on the side)
Anyways, here's the details :
Come and learn about tax issues that are specific to freelancers and small businesses, while finding out how to avoid common tax mistakes. Dave Hernandez is one of our very own group members, and has offered to come and give a talk on taxes for us (for free!) Come take full advantage of his experience and advice while you have time.
