As part of the Ring Festival LA going on currently, theater photographer Monika Rittershaus will have her images exhibited at Ruth Bachofner Gallery with an opening reception this Sat June 6th 6-8 pm. Director and production designer Archim Freyer will also give a talk at the reception.
Monika Rittershaus' photographs reveal images of stillness, depicting instances of a movement as great moments. This stllness makes the singing audible; those moments make the breath of the theater palpable. That is the distinctive quality that constitutes her visual art. - Archim Freyer
