"To be Published or Self-Publish: A Publishing Primer" @ Art Center (2/26)

The video above is from the Darius D. Himes and Mary Virginia Swanson "Publish You Photography Book" event held at the New York Public Library in Dec of 2010. Since then, they've been on tour around the United States with their book "Publish Your Photography Book".

This Saturday, they'll be hosting an all day seminar "To be Published or Self-Publish: A Publishing Primer" from 9:30 am to 5pm at Art Center in Pasadena.

Himes and Swanson share resources from their forthcoming book and offer participants an in-depth overview of the publishing industry, from concept to editorial, design, production and on through the launching and marketing of your book.

Fees are $195 (and includes a copy of the book) / $175 (students) . Private half hour consultations are available on Sunday for the participants for an extra fee.
