PIX Parking Lot Sale (12/4 & 12/5)

It's time to do a little Spring Cleaning .... in December !

Come by and check out great discounts on Crumpler & Tenba bags, Pelican & Storm cases, Rime Lite softboxes and Induro tripods as well as some selected items from our rental dept such as Mamiya RZs, Fuji 680s, Pentax 67s, Speedos, silks and solids along with assorted odds & ends we somehow acquired over the years !

Friday and Saturday 9 am to 5 pm. (We're open our regular hours but the actual parking lot sale is from 9 am to 5 pm)

Over in rentals, they show me the cart full of Mamiya equipment to be sold. Alas, I remember the days when you bought a camera and it lasts you two decades. In today's world it seems like there's a new Canon digital camera every 18 months !

Since digital seem to be rented more, PIX is gonna thin the herd a bit. Besides RZs, PIX will be selling some of the Pentax 67s - you remember those, don'tcha ? The beef-up 35mm looking medium format camera. Also the Fuji 680 II, Contax 645AF and others. Oh, there's also a Canon 1Ds MKII body too.

Also some Speedotron 2400/4800 packs and some heads will be sold off to. Sorry folks, no Profoto or Dynalite will be sold ! I used to work as an assistant in Texas back in the 90s and I remember Speedos were king there. I had never heard of Profoto until I moved to LA. Now I love Profoto but dang they're out of my price range :(

From the sales dept, here's some of the Crumplers for sale - camera bags and sleeves for the Apple laptops. Also marked down are Storm and Pelican cases, Tenba bags, and Rime Lite softboxes.

PIX is also spring-cleaning some of the items in rentals - they'll gonna sell off these used cases you see above. Other stuff : silks and solids, some of the older sandbags, Auto-poles, and random odds and ends PIX somehow has acquired over the past 10 years.

I'll post more photos later and will be "live-blogging" - is that even a word ? on Friday so you'll see what's up and what's cooking on the grill ^^ Oh, yes there'll be free BBQ ! Hey, I know it is December but ANYTIME is good for BBQ ^^

BTW : the parking lot is in the back via the alleyway but since we're blocking that for the sale, probably better to park on the street or in the neighborhood and stroll over. Nearest cross streets is La Brea and 2nd St.
