A&I Presents: Kimo Easterwood (8/26)

This Thursday, Kimo Easterwood will be at A&I to speak about guerilla photography

Kimo Easterwood started working in the film industry doing lighting in the mid 80’s. From there he learned much of his photography, building a portfolio of friend and bands, then eventually adding noteworthy celebrities such as Chris Rock, Christina Aguilerra, Hillary Duff and Bon Jovi. Shooting mostly bands with little to no budget, Kimo was forced to shoot “Guerilla Style” jobs, with no money and no equipment. This quickly became the norm for his work and imagery. Over time, the importance of saving money by shooting locations that were off limits started to become a choice rather than a necessity. It is this “Guerilla Style” photography that has helped brand much of Kimo’s work today.
