Celebrate the publication of artist Tad Beck’s limited edition book PALIMPSEST and his concurrent exhibition at LACMA. Beck and photographer Robbert Flick will have a casual and wide-ranging conversation about Beck’s Palimpsest photographs and the connection his works have with those of Thomas Eakins (also on view at LACMA in the exhibition, Manly Pursuits: The Sporting Images of Thomas Eakins.) Beck and Flick will address the complex relationship of Eakins’ photographic nude studies to contemporary practices.
