While Time Square has New Year's Eve, New Year's Day belongs to Pasadena with their Rose Parade - a tradition that my family have watched on television since I was a wee lil' lad though I'm sorry to say that even though I live half a hour a way in Los Angeles, I've never ventured up to catch the event live in person myself. D'oh !
