IRIS Nights - Daisy Gilardini "Polar Wonders: Photographs from the Ends of the Earth" (2/3)

Daisy Gilardini fell in love with Antarctica on her first trip in 1997, and has since spent most of her time photographing Polar Regions. Her talk will celebrate the beauty and diversity of remote and fragile ecosystems. Since 1997, she has participated in 16 expeditions to Antarctica and 24 to the Arctic. During the presentation, Gilardini will share her extraordinary adventures, including close encounters with penguins and polar bears. These images will narrate a Pole-to-Pole journey and its many fascinating tales.

Next Thursday Feb 3, 2011 (6:30-8:00 pm), Daisy Gilardini will be speaking at the Annenberg Space for Photography in Century City as part of their IRIS Nights lecture series. Tickets are free and available today at noon and tomorrow at 9:30 am.
