APA/LA - Production Panel with Scott Pratt (4/30)

Scott Pratt of QAS Productions will moderate a panel with the following participants:

John Sharpe - Sharpe & Associates - Photographer's representative
Toni Casala - Studio Teacher Agent/Child Rights Advocate within industry
Ava Shevitt - Casting Director
AJ Valdez - Permit Specialist - Pacific Production Services
KK Davis - Art Buyer

THEME: Working within the rules and staying on budget.

AMONG THE TOPICS DISCUSSED: ESTIMATES, WORK PERMITS, STUDIO TEACHERS and HOURS OF WORK. Commonly there are areas within a budget that clients feel they can cut to save money, but in fact many of these areas are not "optional." Too often, in print, participants at every level (client, agency, photographer, producer) create their own rules when it comes to permits, studio teachers and the need for them. It is further confused by laws that apply only in a few states, as well as other additional restraints and requirements.

Scott and the panel will discuss specific examples of shoot situations that will add detail to the above topics, as well as covering much more about the practical aspects of producing a print shoot.

Doors Open at 7:00pm. Catering will be provided.

COST: $20 APA members $30 Students, ASMP members $40 Non-members
