Group Interview for JDPW Assistants (4/15)

Great for folks starting out or who are interested in photography not yet in the industry. Here's the info I found :

The Julia Dean Photo Workshops will be holding a group interview on Wednesday, April 15th, 7-9pm at our Venice Beach location: 801 Ocean Front Walk, Studio #8, Venice, CA 90291. We are seeking individuals looking to help with the administration of our photography workshops, classes, exhibits, events, and/or daily administrative tasks. Ideal candidates should be responsible and courteous, possess excellent customer service skills, an enthusiasm for photography, basic understanding of photography fundamentals, Mac computer literacy, ability to work with others and a desire/passion to learn.

The Julia Dean assistant program is essentially an internship program. Individuals selected as "Course" assistants will be responsible for overseeing select workshops and/or classes. Duties will include assisting instructors and students, setting up the classroom computer / monitor / screen, loading images onto a Mac computer, opening and closing of the facility and other tasks as assigned. "Work-study" assistants will primarily be responsible for assisting the day-to-day administration of the organization's many functional tasks including data entry, office maintenance, supply and food purchases, and other light duties as assigned. "Course" assistants, in trade for administering a class and/or workshop, are permitted to take the class at no charge. "Work-study" assistants are paid in trade hours, $15/hour towards the tuition price of a workshop.

Please RSVP your space in the interview by emailing Chris Skeels at workshops@juliadean.com.
