Christopher Reynolds "The Fortune Cookie Project" (2/13)

Christopher Reynolds will be showing his "Fortune Cookie Project" this Saturday in downtown Long Beach. When I first heard of this exhibition, I thought of shooting him an email to do an interview. Then I thought, why not a audio interview ? I've been toying with perhaps moving into video or podcast and soon realized audio works much better. Unless you are demonstrating something visually, it makes more sense in today's busy world for audio. You can easily hit the play button below, open another window and continue working while listening. BTW : the interview is about 20 min long.

The Fortune Cookie Project is a collection of stories, images, objects and “social sculpture” inspired by the people who were influenced in some way or another by this common cookie. To believe in destiny, blind luck, or even probability, places a specific fortune in your hands rather than another's. This fortune, no matter how serious you may take it, made its way to be read by you, and you alone.

In addition to Christopher's work, at other spots around Long Beach will be other Phantom Gallery exhibition - Bill Viola at 81 Pine has a "window gallery", Chris Jordan (courtesy of Kopeikin Gallery) has 150 Bay St "window gallery". All this is part of this Saturday's Long Beach Art Walk.

  1. Very cool to add audio interviews now on Pix Feed! Question, in the future, is there a way that you can post the length of the interview? Cheers!
