I've been going through Julia Dean Photo Workshop's new catalog that just came out in December and noticed there were some lectures that may be of interest to folks out there. For the month of Jan there's two. I'll make two separate posts so they can be easily found on the calendar.
On Jan 22-24 Joyce Tenneson will be teaching over at Julia Dean Photo Workshop in Venice, CA about marketing and developing your photography career.
Are you a photographer who creates wonderful images but does not have an outlet for them? This is a weekend for brainstorming and investigating ways to promote your work for galleries, book projects, or commercial use. Through information-packed PowerPoint presentations that encourage participants to see their work in new ways, the goal is to inspire everyone to re-connect with that original passion for photography and feel confident about moving forward in the future.
This is not a workshop devoted to making new photographs. Instead, Joyce focuses on working one-on-one to address each individual’s photography and goals. Based on the portfolios participants bring, Joyce designs exercises that will aid in building their work and creating a blueprint for the future. Whether your interest is in portraits, nudes, landscapes, or still lifes, this workshop is designed to help you achieve the next level and to provide a forum for discussing new possibilities. Joyce provides a weekend of inspiration and insight for all who want to investigate their own style. Students are required to bring their portfolios, either print or digital, to the workshop.
