Okay, first things first, it ain't what you think.
This is to give students a chance to show their portfolio to representatives from 41 major art & design colleges here in the United States and Canada. This year, Art Center is hosting the event on Sunday Jan 17th. The day kicks off with tour and financial aid info from 10:30 to noon and noon to 4 pm are the portfolio reviews. Free to the public, no need to pre-reg, first come, first served. FAQ here.
An admissions counselor from Art Center as well as other art and design colleges will be available to review your artwork, advise you on portfolio development, discuss their programs and answer questions about professional careers in art and design at a National Portfolio Day in your area. High school students, parents, teachers, guidance counselors and college transfer students are encouraged to attend.
