( Tracey Landworth )

Tracey is the gal who started Creative Photography Workshops / Gallery over on Wilshire in Miracle Mile - right across from BCAM/LACMA. They've been open just three weeks and just had their first exhibition Saturday night called "Visions", a group show of high school photo teachers. My friend and I got there around 8 to find the place packed. Yup, I should had gotten there earlier. Nothing like showing up and trying to look at the work without bumping into someone !

It was a fun crowd with families and kids running around. A refreshing change from the usual crowds you see around. I was probably most taken by Gail Brown's work (which unfortunately I couldn't get a decent shot of with all the people there).

Right next door to the space was another gallery, Edward Cella Art + Architecture which just had their opening reception for "Transforming Photography" just last week as part of the Miracle Mile Art Walk and so wasn't as jammed packed.
