Seminar - "Digital Age : Creation, Exploitation, & Piracy in New Media" (10/14)

I found this event via ASMP email. Looks like the California Lawyers For the Arts (CLA) is hosting a seminar on the digital media. Since this is co-sponsor by ASMP, their members get a 50% discount on the admission fee so instead of $20, it is $10. If you happen to be a resident of Santa Monica, you also get in for 50% too !

This workshop covers the basic issues and challenges that content producers face today with regard to digital and mobile technologies. Legal issues in piracy, exploitation, and emerging business models are explored.

Josh Hiller, Esq. is a lawyer specializing in entertainment and new media law. His practice includes representation of talent (Cheech & Chong, Jaleel White p/k/a "Urkel"), production companies (for R. Kelly, Method Man), reality television (E! Channel, VH1), film (The Weinstein Co., United Artists), and music (Interscope, Def Jam, Disney). He's also currently a partner in a new media agency (Clear-Media). Mr. Hiller received his JD & MBA from Pepperdine University.
