Fine Art Series with Bob Killen (11/21)

Bob Killenwill be leading this 5-course "Fine Art Series" starting with "Fundamentals of Fine Art Photography" on Saturday Nov 21st. 10 am - 5:30 pm. There are other courses over the next few months including "Vision Beyond Record", Fine Art Master Tools", "Fine Art Output" and "Fine Art Marketing". For complete details of this series check here.

In "Fundamentals of Fine Art", he will go over the following :

The Fundamentals of Fine Art Photography seminar explores the application of photographic language, practices, and tools to create and fulfill the creative vision of the photographic artist. Fine art photography stands in contrast to photojournalism and commercial photography in as much as these applications provide visual support for stories, or create a visual stimulus for a product or service. Conversely, Fine Art Photography is often thematic and explores social issues, graphic dislocation, subliminal thought, duality, reality, surrealism, impressionism, and is often considered as a genre that is Vision beyond Record.

In this workshop, students explore a wide variety of artistic themes; how to find themes within your emotional range; and how to expand your emotional range. We will explore seeing the image in the camera while visualizing the final product within a Photoshop Space and ultimately as fine art prints. By the end of the day you will have a solid overview of art thought processes, art photography workflow, and how various imaging tools help you realize your vision. Students leave with an expanded thought practice for making art images, and a deeper understanding of how digital imaging techniques can advance your vision.
