ASMP "Take Back Your Website !" (7/16)

From ASMP's site :

Ian Schray of Freeway, website-building software for Mac, will spend an evening showing how the software works - how to create attractive, functional websites without needing to know a darn thing about coding.

Learn how to create and maintain your online presence without the need to become an expert in HTML coding - or Flash. Create exactly what you want in a clean, comfortable interface: Freeway generates all the code for you. Ian will also compare the two versions of the software, Freeway Pro and Freeway Express.

He will cover a variety of web strategies, including how to use the included templates, how easy it is to work beyond those templates, how easy it is to post a site to your own host or server, how to set up a variety of different kinds of sites (including e-commerce sites and blogs), how to set up a site to be seen on an iPhone, and how to optimize your site for SEO - in other words, how to be found by Google and Yahoo.

Freeway is an easy, cost-effective way to get yourself on the web with no sacrifice in quality. Show off your portfolio, slide shows, and more without having to know HTML. Not least, since Freeway only makes standards-compliant websites, you never have to worry about a client or agency missing out on seeing your work, no matter what web browser they use.

There will be giveaway drawings of the software, as well as generous discount coupons for all attendees.

And not least, there will be food, and there will be drink.
