+ Tomorrow, Sebastiao Salgado will be discussing his work and exhibition at the Peter Fetterman Gallery in a benefit for the Children's Kitchen of the 24th Street School. Tickets are $35 and RSVP to nat@gardenschoolfoundation.org or at 310-699-2902 ext 23. 6-9 pm, talk starts at 7:30. INFO

+ Photo Shelter's blog has a great post with Chris Owyoung. Many moons ago I fancy a try at concert photography. This was back in Dallas, TX and this was waaaay before digital so Fuji NHGII was my favorite film. Now I have no idea what it is call now...NPZ ? Pro800Z or something like that ? Let's say my images were pretty bad. On the same topic, A Photo Editor's latest post deals with Jane's Addiction's rights grab. Read the comments. Entertaining and informative.

+ Okay, times are tough right now but if you like checking out museums here in Los Angeles, I found an article from the LA Times that lists some free or reduced admission to local institutions that Target is sponsoring.

+ M+B has extended their Lisa Jack "Barack Obama : The Freshmen" exhibition to the end of August now.

+ More info on the Photographers on Photography series that Julia Dean is running. As you know Tony Duran will be the guest this Thursday with moderator Art Streiber done "Actor's Studio"-style. It is held over at Screaming Broccoli's new stages over at 3334 S. La Cienega Place (90016). 7:30- 9 pm. The cost is $20 bucks (cash or check)/$10 for students. No RSVP needed. More info here
