Thursday Briefs

+ Remember last week when I posted that link to the blog with mp3 of Weegee talking about photography ? Well, Paul Waldman started the Living American Masters Photography Project where he talks to photographers so "we see them as people, professionals, and not just as the photo credit we associate them with." So over at Resolve blog, they interview Paul about his project. There is also an audio interview with AP photographer Marty Lederhandler about where in WWII, pigeons were used to carry film.

+ Over at EW they posted an interview with Bruce McBroom who photographed Farrah Fawcett's famous poster.

She comes to the door and she’s standing in the doorway in that red suit. And she said, "What do you think of this?" It was like it was spray painted on her; I don’t think it was a swimsuit. I said, "You know what? That’s it!" I said, "Farrah, just get comfortable and do your thing."

+ And if you got time to spare, I found a site where you can search through a collection of photographs documenting the colonization of East Africa (1860-1960)
