PIX CLICKS : "Dan Winters opening @ Fahey/Klein"

(photo taken by Reserve Result)

First things first, I was so surprised how fast the place got packed. I arrived promptly at 7 pm so I can actually look at the work without bumping into other folks and by 7:30ish the place was jammed. Dan himself seem trapped in the other room and was signing books and chatting with folks.

This is my first time seeing his work in person - I've previously seen it only on a computer screen which obviously does not convey the same as it is hanging right in front of you. It's a good overview over his past 20 years.

If you miss Dan Winters last night, he will be speaking and signing at Art Center tonight (Friday 7/31) at 7 pm. Info here.

And he'll be speaking at the Annenberg Space for Photography on August 13th 6:30 - 8pm.

  1. It was either this, or go eat Michael Voltaggio's food @ Breadbar. Top Chefery won. Thanks for the update!

  2. Dan Winters is a amazing photographer. I was the photo editor at the Thousand Oaks News Chronicle where Dan work when he first started his photo career. He was incredible back then and he is even more so now. Congratulation on your book Dan.
