Wed Random Briefs

+ Summer here's in LA as I am sure y'all can feel the heat. But another thing I like about the summer are the outdoor movie screenings around the city. Most are free and it is a great way to spend evening under the stars. I found a link with a listing of LA screenings. If you are in Century City tonight, Ghostbuster is showing at the 2nd level terrace at Westfield's mall. 8 -11 pm.

+ Oh, Steve Curry talk at Annenberg Space for Photography this Saturday 6:30-8pm is filled up. No more RSVPs...though I think there'll probably be no shows so perhaps they do a stand-by line ? Also, remember the Carolyn Cole talk that was rescheduled for the end of this month ? That's been cancelled. We were just notified that Ms. Cole will be on assignment overseas. Because of the nature and schedule of her work, we are not able to offer an alternative date at this time.

+ Also tonight, at The ICON, Lee Varis will be giving a free seminar on RAW Processing Techniques for ACR & Lightroom 7-8:30 pm 5450 Wilshire Blvd, 90036. Info here.

+ Things don't look good for Conde Nast. Read this morning their September numbers are down for their ads. Usually Sept issues have the biggest number of ads but not this time around. LINK :
