Profoto Assistant Event (again)

Had about a hour free inbetween my schedule today so I went over to Smashbox to check out their Profoto Assistant event. It's going on right now today until 9 pm at Stage 5 of Smashbox. I saw a lot of folks there...some were assistants, some were photographers...and some were smart enough to bring their gear with them so they could use the Pro-8s ! Models and a MUA are provided.

Marty Glickman from Profoto was there to demonstrate the new Pro-8s and they had two out there for folks to play with. Also on display is their new monolight line, the D1. Samy's Camera was there also to give out coupons for 25% off any rentals at Samy's. Plus yes, they are giving out a coupon for a free Pro-8 pack and head rental at Samy's camera also.

I had a quick chat with Mike and Karen from Samy's for a moment before I had to run. This is sort of an all day on-going thing so come by anytime you want - they are there until 9 pm tonight and it is at the WeHo Smashbox - near the Trader Joe's on Santa Monica/Fuller.
