Thursday Briefs

+ Currently at the Art Institue of Chicago, a Yousuf Karsh retrospective "Regarding Heroes" is underway with a hundred of his prints on display until April 26th. For those of us who can't make it, there's the catalogue available online for purchase.

+ Blogdowntown gives us a preview for tonight's Downtown ArtWalk.

+ Over at Popular Photography, they review the new Canon EF 24mm 1.4L lens and podcasts PMA 2009.

+ Magazines good : Launching in Sept 2009, AFAR magazine "a new experiential travel magazine " and Conde Nast UK to launch Wired magazine on April 2nd.

+ Magazines bad. Rodale's Best Life magazine goes bye bye here and here.

+ Shepard Fairey update. AP has countersue Fairey while he might not be out of the woods with Boston PD. Meanwhile Shepard's doing some suing of his own when his company Obey Giant Art Inc sent a cease-and-deceased letter over infringing use of "Obey" related to a Steelerbaby doll.
