Okay, two shows are closing so catch it while you can.... Jona Franls "Church & State" over at Frumkin Gallery in Santa Monica wraps up on Sunday (though really, they don't open on Sunday except by appointment so make it out tomorrow Sat) and Joseph Rodriguez's "Flesh Life : Sex in Mexico City" WAS to end this weekend, but I just checked their site and has been EXTENDED to March 29th.
Local photographer Shawn Mortensen will be signing his book "Out of Mind" over at Iconoclast's "temporary" store over on 451 N. Fairfax, Los Angeles, CA, 90036. The location will closed on April 11th so if you wanna check it out, y'all got about a month left. Oh Shawn is signing this on Sat (3/14/09) at 7-10 pm
Over at GR2 in West LA, Giant Robot is presenting their "Year of the Ox" group show . Reception going off from 6:30 pm - 10 pm on Sat (3/14)... GR2 / 2062 Sawtelle Blvd. 90025
Oh, and Sunday is the final day to submit for Burn Magazine's "Emerging Photographer Grant 2009" $10,000 given " to support continuation of this photographer’s personal project. This body of work may be of either journalistic mission or purely personal artistic imperatives…"
Tonight over in Pasadena, they are doing ""Art Night Pasadena"" from 6pm-10pm. About 14 art institutions will have their doors open and there's shuttle buses to move folks to and fro.

Also Herman Leonard exhibit "Jazz, Giants and Journeys" will be closing today at A&I Hollywood. Don't worry if you miss out because they are moving the exhibit to A&I Santa Monica on March 20th to May 1st.
