PIX Ebay

My boss just email me to tell me that PIX can now sell your unwanted photo gear through PIX's ebay.

Oh, check PIX EBAY store page to see what we have on Ebay currently ! We have new and used items and if you happen to see something on Ebay and get it and you happen to live here in town, well, come on down and you can just pick up from our store !

Anyways, back to Ebay, we've always kinda done this already but it wasn't advertised. I think PIX started this a few years back with a local television station. They had darkroom equipment, older digital cameras (stuff like Canon 1Ds), assorted gear and we took care of it. Our more recent client had so much stuff : film, 10D, 20D, 30D, Polaroids .... just boxes and boxes of gear. It felt like Christmas - saw many stuff I would love to have !

Though PIX Ebay started in 1999, it didn't really took off until the mid-00s when started by Angela. Y'all remember Angela who ran the sales dept back then ? She used to work at Imagexperts before that and also worked at ProOne for a bit too. Anyways, she started really getting the Ebay on and was continued by our last sales manager Leslie and now run by Jenny today.

So what usually happens is you bring in your gear. PIX will run it through Ebay. If it doesn't sell, we relist it and perhaps move it to the Ebay Store. You can have us do this either until it sells or for however long you want it to be. PIX will take 25% of the final sale. So if it sells for $100 bucks, you get $75, you sell for $500, you get $375. You get an idea.

So this works great if you happen not to have a lot of feedback on your account or you just don't wanna deal with running auction, packing the gear, taking it to the post office/UPS/FedEx and so forth.

If you got more questions, just call Jenny over at 323-936-8488.

(Oh, this relates more to Los Angeles-based photographers. I know there's some of y'all who read this from outside of LA)
