Monday Briefs

+ Andy Freeberg goes to museums to observe who guards the art itself.

+ INTERVIEW magazine doing a makeover and US Style, a spin-off from US Magazine is again put on the backburners. Expect 2010 to be their launch year.

+ Fujifilm to stop production on specialist duplicating film, Fujichrome CDU II and Fujichrome T64 Professional. Also another change is Neopan 400 will not be made in 24 exposure anymore (they make that in 24 exposure ???)

+ Apple to preview new iPhone 3.0 software tomorrow.

+ Getty Trust is feeling the pinch. They plan on slashing 25% off their operating budgets for the next fiscal year. At the same time, visitors to Getty Museum & Villa are rising.

+ More sad news from newspapers... Seattle P-I announces tomorrow will be their last hard-copy issue. After 146 years, the paper will now live online. Not the same for the Arizona's oldest paper, the Tuscson Citizen at 140 years will have their issue on March 21st. Guess no web heaven for those folks. In San Francisco, the union okay concessions and hopefully will save the paper. Over on the East Coast, the Washington Post will fold the Business section into the front page.

+ And finally, for your amusement, Daft Punk + Snow White = Dwarfed Punk
