+ If you're a food photographer, you should check out "Picturing Food", a lecture held at The Getty next Thursday April 8th at 7 pm.
Evan Kleiman, host of KCRW's Good Food, leads a panel discussion exploring the visual aesthetics of food with Darra Goldstein, founding editor of Gastronomica; Maite Gomez-Rejón, chef and founder of Artbites; and photographer Charlie Grosso.

+ Quick run of stuff going on tomorrow :

-> Over at Fahey/Klein, a double bill of "Legends of Jazz Photography" exhibition with the images of Herman Leonard, William Gottlieb and William Claxton. Herman Leonard will be there in person at the opening. In the smaller room, Jim Marshall "Trust" exhibition with images from his new book Trust.

-> Over in Century City at Annenberg Space for Photography, IRIS Nights lecture series with Daniel Beltra "The State of Tropical Rainforests". Fully booked but there's stand-by. 6:30 - 8 pm. By the way, today (Wed 3/31) at noon, tickets will be available for Balazs Gardi "Facing Water Crisis" lecture on April 8th.

-> Over at Bergamot Station in Santa Monica, Track 16 Gallery will have the opening reception for Mike Watt "Eye-Gifts from Pedro". If you're an old school punk, you'll recognize Mike as the bassist of San Pedro punk band "The Minutemen"

-> Down in San Pedro, it is Art Walk night
