Just got FaceBooked about this from Matt Beard who runs Studio 1444 over on Highland :
...please post...warning to all Canon / Mac users...The new mac leopard 10.5.6 update is NOT compatible with any version on EOS capture. So it effectively kills any attempt at tethered shooting using EOS capture.
Apple has made the USB transfer rate much much faster with the new upgrade....but unfortunately it made the ability to shoot tethered using EOS capture nearly impossible.
Spoke to Canon on Thursday 2/26/09 and there was currently no work-around available. I'm not sure about capture one...haven't tried it on the mac with Leopard yet.
Hope this post saves people some headaches.

I did a quick Google Search and found some posting about this in the past few months. Better double check to make sure before doing any real jobs.
